01AboutWhat the day is, and what it isn't

One day for midshipmen to see the technology they'll serve alongside

1 day. Up to 50 exhibitors. 4,400 midshipmen.

Concept rendering of an unmanned aircraft taken apart: compute board, battery packs, sensor turret and motor floating in sequence.
Fig. 1 Compute, power and sensor modules. Concept rendering, not an exhibitor's product.

Exhibitors set up in Dahlgren Hall, and midshipmen walk the floor talking directly with the engineers and operators behind the technology.

This is a showcase, not a marketplace. There is no procurement activity, no evaluation, and no contracting authority present.

The value to exhibitors is direct time with the people who will operate, and make decisions about, these systems for the next three decades.

Registration is open to any company, capped at 50 exhibitors, and reviewed in the order received.

Organized by the Brigade Innovation Unit, a midshipman-led group at the Naval Academy focused on bringing emerging technology to the Brigade.

02RulesSix conditions of participation

Exhibitor rules

The Brigade Innovation Unit asks every exhibitor to read these six rules before registering. Each is confirmed again in the acknowledgments on the form.

  1. Educational purpose only

Nothing about participation constitutes a solicitation or implies any future Department of the Navy contract, award, or preference.

  2. Zero-gift rule

No apparel, stickers, drinkware, food, gift cards, or branded merchandise. Printed informational material about the technology on display is permitted.

  3. No recruiting activity

Exhibitors may discuss their industry and career field but may not collect résumés, conduct interviews, or make employment offers on site.

  4. Hardware and demonstrations

Welcome and encouraged. Anything needing power beyond a standard outlet, emitting RF, or involving lasers, lifts, drones, pressurized systems, or export-controlled content must be declared during registration for advance review.

  5. Public, unclassified only

Everything shown must be approved for public release. No classified, CUI, or ITAR-restricted content.

  6. Media and photography
